In the midst of hysterics, I kept repeating ” he’s never coming back” and I know I have to do things like tax forms on my own and it feels overwhelming.

Your e-mail came just at the right time just after having met with my tax advisor for the first time since my husband’s passing 7 months ago. As soon as he mentioned quarterly taxes to me (my late husband’s domain), my eyes glazed over. So many things that I now have to take on by myself – and I’m so overwhelmed by it all – sometimes I feel on top of things and other times, I need some (okay…a lot) of handholding.

Self confidence is almost a daily effort when you’re a widow. Depending on certain people like your CPA is part of your support system. It’s another loss when faced with replacing that relationship. I cried last weekend because I learned that my hairdresser of 23 years, had died of breast cancer.This article has helped realize that I’m not the only one experiencing these problems.
