Hi Michelle, chances are you won&#039;t receive survivor benefits or at least not the full amount. The benefit would be reduced by two-thirds of your teacher’s pension amount under the government pension offset rule (GPO). The math is tricky, and if you ever worked in a job that &lt;em&gt;did&lt;/em&gt; pay into social security, it&#039;s even trickier. So your best bet is to talk to the SSA directly so they can explain the calculations.]]></description>
